Hasina’s Son denies US threat
Sajeeb Wazed, the son of former Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina,
denied that his family ever received threat from the United States,
even as he strongly claimed that the court decision to sentence his mother to death.
Sajeeb told the Media that the U.S. government has not threatened them in any way.

“No, we have not received any threats whatsoever,”He said, addressing allegations of western compulsion.
He noted a clear shift in U.S policy after Donald Trump assumed the presidency.
Sajeeb argued that the Trump administration’s outlook toward Dhaka changed significantly compared to the previous government.
He claimed the U.S now focuses more on counter-terrorism and the perceived rise of Islamism in Bangladesh.
Responding to his mother’s death sentence, Sajeeb rejected the credibility of the judgement.
He called the trial a “sham,”saying authorities rewrote laws and denied his mother the right to select her own lawyer.
He argued that the verdict came from a planned process coordinated by an “unelected, illegal authorities.
Sajeeb labelled the sentence “a joke” and accused the current ruling regime of exacting revenge on his family,
with support from Islamist radicals.He maintained that Sheikh Hasina remains safe in exile in India, adding:
“What will they do to get? There is no rule of law.”
He vowed that the Awami League would not accept the verdict quietly.
Sajeeb warned that unless the ban on his mother’s party is lifted, her supporters will block the next election.
