Delhi explosives case doctor arrested— in a major counter terror breakthrough on Monday, November 10, 2025.

Jammu and Kashmir Police recovered an enormous cache of explosives and weapons from a rented accommodation in Faridabad, Haryana,

a suburb of the national capital after the arrest of a Kashmiri doctor.

The discovery which included roughly 350 kilograms of suspected ammonium nitrate,

an assault rifle and ammunition, has triggered a multi-agency investigation into possible terror links and networks operating outside Kashmir.

where officers found the explosive cache, multiple magazines of ammunition and communication devices.

Authorities say the scale of the material, enough to cause larger scale damage if weaponized, made the seizure especially alarming.

Police sources told reporters that the recovered item included 350 kilograms of ammonium nitrate type explosive,

around 20 timings devices,an AK-47 assault rifle and additional small arms and ammunition.

Police allege that one of the arrested doctors had kept an AK-47 earlier in a locker at medical college.

while another doctor linked to the Faridabad location, identified at Mujammil (or Mujahid)  Shakeel,

authorities have taken another doctor into custody for questioning as inquires continue

Officials say the Faridabad recovery followed leads provided after the first arrest.

Haryana and Jammu and Kashmir police are cooperating the investigation and forensic teams forwarded

to examine the explosives and timers to establish their exact composition

and whether the material was suitable for use in improvised explosive devices (IEDs).

Senior investigators warned that laboratory examination is needed to confirm whether the substance is pure ammonium nitrate or some other compound,

and whether it was intended for manufacture for RDX style devices,

police have also begun to map communications and travel histories of the accused to identify possible handlers or external links

The seizure has raised immediate security concerns in the national capital region

and prompted tighter checks on suspect movement and rentals used by transient workers and students,

officials emphasized that this operation underlines continuing risks posed by sleeper networks and attempts by banned organizations

to recruit or radicalize individuals outside their traditional stronghold.

Central security agencies are understood to be monitoring suspected funding and cross border linkages.

Both doctors are under the unlawful Activities ( Prevention) Act ( UAPA) and relevant sections of the Indian Penal code

dealing with illegal possession of explosives and arms.

Investigators said they will file a detailed chargesheet after the forensic report and digital forensic results are in.

Political leaders and security experts for calm but urged a swift, transparent investigation

to establish whether this was an isolated conspiracy or part of a larger organized plot.

Forensics will determine the precise nature of the explosive material and whether timers and other components were operational.

Police activity will likely expand to other addresses connected to the suspects;

officials have signaled they will follow every lead.

As the probe unfolds, the discovery instantly becomes a high priority national security matter,

raising questions about recruitment channel,

the movement of Dangerous material into the NCR and gaps in local surveillance that investigators will need to address
